Erratas, applicables au 1er Février

With Celestial Edition, we have decided to push the envelope a bit more than we did in Samurai Edition. This is done to keep the environment fun and fresh. We have also attempted to fix many of the game's historical problems, such as spells being almost universally unusable. To this end we have been about 95% successful, but a few things have slipped through the cracks which need addressing. Effective Monday, February 1st, the following cards will receive errata. Only the mentioned sections of the cards will be changed. All parts not mentioned shall remain in their current state.

Gakku's gold cost will be increased to 5.

As has been mentioned previously, Goblins came out the gate a bit faster than we had anticipated so Gakku, rather than help an up and coming Goblin deck, sent a blitz/swarm deck into 4th gear. When comparing Gakku to similar personalities at his price point, it is easy to see he costs 1 gold too little.

Shameful Tactics's text block will now read as follows

Battle: You may target and dishonor one to three of your Personalities. If they are opposed, give them +3F.

Comments
Shameful Tactics simply provides too large of a bonus mid to late game, often giving +36 or more force with one card, far more than is acceptable.

Suitengu's Gateway's text block will now read as follows

Water
Battle: If any enemy units are at the current battlefield, bow this Shugenja unless he has the Water keyword: Move your target unit there. Straighten it if it moved.

Comments
Suitenu's Gateway was unopposed movement, free, and reusable and was simply far too strong for its costs.

Forging the Gift's text block will now read as follows

Limited: Target your unbowed Artisan Personality: Create a +2F/+1C Weapon Item and attach it to a target Samurai Personality, even if you do not control him. Gain 1 Honor, or 2 Honor if the Samurai is controlled by another player.

Comments
Forging the Gift usually reads "Limited: Pay 2 Gold: Gain 4 Honor" as the weapon is often insignificant. That was simply too strong and fast for the game.

All of these cards, plus all cards not in the special Death at Koten set which have received errata (technical or otherwise) in Celestial Edition (such as Doji Bukita) will be printed in their correct form in the CE 15 set.

Please understand we do not issue errata lightly and we hope we will not have to issue any more errata/MRPs after the CE 15 set. Thank you for your continued support.

Bon ben je dis bravo... en espérant qu'ils ne gâchent pas tout en sortant une série de cartes fumées juste derrière.

Mais en attendant, c'est bien vu, avec un petit bémol tout de même : je ne vois rien là-dedans qui calme un tant soit peu le Lion.

Du neuf concernant Determined Force :


Effective on release of The Harbinger, there will be the following technical errata to Determined Force. All other aspects of the card will remain the same except for the Reaction (changed text in italics).

Reaction: Before the resolution of a Battle action taken by another player who controlled no units at the current battlefield when the action was announced, if none of the action's effects can move the other player's units to the current battlefield: The action's effects do not happen.

This brings the action into line with designer intent; it was not intended to negate actions that destroy or move away their performer as a cost, for example.

Ah oui, c'est une bonne nouvelle. La carte reste juste super forte mais au moins ça ne rend pas une tonne d'actions injouables.

Ca conserve son intérêt premier, à savoir lutter contre la défense flottante. Donc ça reste très fort à mon avis. ^^
